Casa Mallorca
At MADERA, a core aim of Seamless Wood Design™ is to build lasting partnerships with repeat clients by delivering a genuinely smooth, stress-free experience that sets us apart in the industry. We’re thrilled to have recently completed another project with Studio Rob Diaz, a valued firm with whom we’ve collaborated on multiple standout designs.
Springy Banks
Nestled in a serene natural setting, this waterfront home harmonizes effortlessly with its surroundings, celebrating the splendor of natural light complemented by the warm tones of European oak on its interior surfaces. Adorning both floors and ceilings, the European oak exudes elegance, boasting over 3,500 square feet of 5 to 7 inch wide planks, spanning lengths of 8 to 10 feet.
Path Residence
Explore the Path Residence, a stunning design by Kristen Nelson of Nelson Collective. We sat down with Kristen to delve into the details and uncover the unique aspects of this remarkable project.
Conscious Craftsmanship | Natural Materials in Architecture + Design
On a warm April evening at MADERA's New York City showroom, we hosted a lively event and discussion featuring MADERA co-founder James Robb, Workshop APD's founding principal Matt Berman alongside associate principal Andrew Kline. The conversation was moderated by Nick Schiffer of NS Builders. The group engaged in a conversation revolving around ideas of conscious craftsmanship and the use of natural materials in contemporary design.
Hillside Residence
Nestled in the scenic hills of Bel Air, Los Angeles, this magnificent hillside residence showcases architectural excellence and luxurious living. Designed by Plus Development Group and Dejager Design, the home features wide plank European oak flooring adding warmth and elegance to its stunning design. Our dedication to high-quality wood flooring enhances the beauty of this architectural masterpiece.
Mary Ellen House
Diaz + Alexander Studio designed a stunning four-bedroom home in Studio City, California, offering a modern interpretation of the French Château style. The home is beautifully accented with Sparrow 005 European Oak floors, adding warmth and elegance to the design.
Sackett Street Townhouse
When Starling Architecture and designer Emily Lindberg approached MADERA to provide the interior finished wood surfaces for their Carroll Gardens townhouse project, we were eager to take on the challenge. This 4-story Brooklyn townhouse promised to be something truly extraordinary. By harnessing the versatility of Seamless Wood Design™, we brought this ambitious and elegant vision to life—without limitations.
Siena Way
Matching Juniper W102 flooring and wall paneling, paired with a monochromatic black-and-white interior, allow this home to seamlessly blend into its natural surroundings. This approach embodies Seamless Wood Design™, beautifully reflected in this distinctive home by Plus Development Group.
Bellgave Place
Nine-inch wide MADERA Oak floors provide the perfect grounding element in this Woods+Dangaran and Saota Architects project as they appear in every inch of living space, including the kitchens and bathrooms.
Void House
When the team at SAW// Spiegel Aihara Workshop started working on a mid-century home at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the Silicon Valley, they opted to buck the trend of demolish and replace. Instead, they chose to work with the prominent (and highly inefficient) rooflines to create a home based on carving away at spaces instead of adding on to them. The beautiful result speaks for itself.
Union Square Loft
This loft renovation by Worrell Yeung re-imagines living spaces in New York City. Our 12" wide Northern White Oak floors fill an entire floor in a landmark early 20th-century garment building in Union Square.
Carla Ridge Home
This stunning home by the team at Woods + Dangaran located in the Trousdale Estates in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains expresses timeless design with the quality of the finishes selected for the project, including travertine floor slabs and our seven-inch-wide prime grade European Oak in Trä.
Moore House
We engineered reclaimed teak in one-and-a-half-inch wide planks to match the earth-colored ceramic tile, brass plated hardware, and dark marble used throughout this Los Feliz, CA home designed by Woods + Dangaran. This project was an Architizer + finalist in 2021.
The Widest Plank
Our search for the right partner to design and make hardwood floors of incredible dimensions has taken us both far and wide, literally and figuratively. On a recent trip to Europe, we met Nobel Flooring in Belgium who has the skill and zeal to craft the kind of wood floors we have always imagined making with lengths up to 40 feet (12m) and 24 inches in width (60cm).
Modern Spanish Los Angeles Home
Featured Floor: Wide Plank European Oak, Natural Grade, Måne Finish
Our latest project with And And And Studio is not only stunning but also a study in architectural style and expert craftsmanship. When architect/designer power couple Annie and Daniel examined the site, they saw a sea of complicated designs and decided to change direction. They chose a simple, high-quality design with nods to Spanish-influenced, California Modernism.
Ledge House
A modern minimalist home with sweeping views of a rural Connecticut landscape gives the perfect backdrop for these stunning wide plank European Oak floors in our Dimma finish.
