ABOUT THE POSITION
MADERA is seeking an energetic, self-motivated and qualified Sales Associate. The Sales Associate will be part of the Sales Team and will work out of the New York showroom. The associate will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief of East Coast Sales and Special Projects by managing the administrative aspects of large commercial and special projects. This position will also provide general support to the East Coast Sales team, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to business development efforts.
KEY TASKS
Assist with the administrative portion of large commercial and special projects, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Help create and send detailed estimates to prospectives clients, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Prepare and organize samples for client meetings and presentations, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Assist with setting and organizing sales meetings, including preparing materials and coordinating schedules.
Provide general support for special projects and commercial sales, assisting with various tasks as needed.
Help Manage the inventory samples, ensuring they are up to date, organized, and readily available.
Serve as a backup in the 909 Broadway showroom, assisting clients and ensuring a positive experience.
Utilize any extra time to assist with business development activities for the East Coast team, contributing to the growth and success of the department.
Provide support in planning and organizing marketing events including our own events at our showrooms, architectural and design events, trade shows, and award ceremonies.
REPORTING
The Sales Associate will report directly to the Chief of East Coast Sales and Special Project accordingly.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE REQUIRES
Bachelor’s degree in business, or relevant field with at least 3-5 years of professional experience.
Proven experience in customer service, or hospitality is a plus.
A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
Able to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Tech and computer savvy with proficiency in using QuickBooks, Capsule, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and participation in MADERA’s performance incentive program.
The benefits package includes participation in MADERA’s health insurance plan, 401K retirement plan, commission plan, 15 days paid vacation, 8 days paid sick leave, paid public holidays, and flextime.
Regular working hours are based on a 5-day work week Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5:30PM. Scheduled weekend showroom hours may be rotated with the sales team as applicable. Once weekend hours commence, a 5-day work schedule will be determined by Management.
